Mario Marengo Barolo Bricco Delle Viole 2019

The 2019 M. Marengo Barolo Bricco delle Viole is a distinguished expression of Nebbiolo from Piedmont, combining the elegance of this celebrated vineyard with the concentration of an exceptional vintage. Fragrant wild rose, violet and ripe cherry unfold alongside cassis, candied orange peel and delicate spice, with subtle earthy and mineral notes adding complexity. The palate is beautifully structured, with concentrated red fruit, vibrant acidity and firm, finely grained tannins carrying through to a long, persistent finish. Powerful yet remarkably refined, this is a classic Barolo with considerable ageing potential. Particularly compelling alongside slow braised beef, truffle dishes or aged cheeses.
