The 2023 Domaine Marquis d’Angerville Volnay 1er Cru Frémiets is a lively and beautifully balanced Premier Cru Burgundy Pinot Noir from the northern edge of Volnay’s premier cru vineyards. Sourced from the domaine’s 1.57-hectare holding, this wine shows vibrant blueberry, pomegranate, raspberry, black cherry, plum, savoury spice, licorice and subtle mineral notes. The palate is medium-bodied, supple and polished, with bright acidity, fine tannins, saline freshness and a lingering peppery finish. Crafted from destemmed fruit, native yeast fermentation and biodynamic farming, this refined Volnay Premier Cru offers both early approachability and excellent Burgundy cellaring potential.
