Mayer Close Planted Pinot Noir 2025

Mayer Close Planted Pinot Noir is a concentrated yet finely detailed expression of Timo Mayer’s estate vineyard just south of Healesville in the Yarra Valley.

The tightly spaced vines naturally limit yields, producing fruit with impressive depth and structure. Dark cherry and ripe raspberry lead the palate, with subtle forest floor, spice and gentle savoury notes adding complexity. Around 25% whole bunch fermentation keeps the wine fresh and composed, while a small amount of new oak adds depth without dominating.

Plush and generous through the middle, it finishes long and slightly firm. A serious Yarra Valley Pinot Noir suited to duck, roast pork or mushroom dishes.
