Miguel Merino Rioja de Pueblo Briones 2022 is an elegant, site focused Rioja from the cool hillside parcel of El Rincón in La Dehesa, showing a more lifted and refined expression of Tempranillo.

The nose is detailed and aromatic, with red cherry, mulberry and small sour plum layered with floral spice, cola, cocoa and a subtle graphite edge. There is a gentle balsamic note that adds complexity without weight.

The palate is mid weight and finely shaped, with fresh acidity and silky tannins that glide rather than grip. A small percentage of Graciano and Garnacha brings brightness and lift to the fruit profile.

A great match for roast lamb, grilled vegetables or slow cooked Spanish style dishes.
