Nicolas Maillart Coupes 2018

A rare Blanc de Noirs Champagne, Les Coupés 2018 is crafted from ungrafted Pinot Noir vines planted in 1973 in the Premier Cru village of Écueil. One of the few “franc de pied” cuvées in Champagne, it showcases purity and depth with no dosage and no malolactic fermentation. Fermented and aged in oak, then matured five years in bottle, this Brut Nature Champagne is sharp and precise, with complex layers of golden apple, beeswax, white mushroom, and mineral notes. Rich and elegant, with a long, dry, and saline finish, only 3,800 bottles were produced.
