Nicolas Maillart Montchenot 2018 is a powerful, food focused Champagne made entirely from Pinot Noir grown in the Premier Cru village of Villers Allerand.

The nose moves through dark cherry, baked apple, orange peel and toasted sourdough, with subtle spice and earthy complexity underneath. The palate is broad and savoury, with fine mousse, chalky texture and a gentle phenolic grip that gives the wine real shape and persistence.

Fermented in oak and finished with zero dosage, this is a dry, vinous style of Champagne built more for the table than the aperitif hour.
