Occhipinti Contrada Fossa Di Lupo Rosso 2019

A pure and expressive take on Frappato from Arianna Occhipinti, rooted in the rugged vineyards of Fossa di Lupo in southeastern Sicily. The 2019 vintage is bright and fragrant, with cherry, wild berries and pomegranate joined by subtle spice and savoury iodine notes. Light on its feet but full of personality, it has fresh acidity, fine tannins and a gently earthy finish. Fermented with indigenous yeasts in cement and matured in Slavonian oak, this is a beautifully transparent expression of Sicilian Frappato. A natural match for grilled vegetables, charcuterie or simply served lightly chilled.
