Ochota Barrels Gentle Folk Fathers Milk Pinot Gamay 2024

The 2024 Ochota Barrels x Gentle Folk Fathers Milk is a rare Adelaide Hills collaboration, originally created by Taras Ochota and Gareth Belton and continued today by their families. Made from equal parts Gamay and Pinot Noir, it brings together fruit from the cool, elevated vineyards of Piccadilly and Ashton.

Bright red cherries, wild berries and subtle herbal spice lead into a juicy, fragrant palate with an intriguing hint of bitter Italian amaro. Fermented entirely as whole bunches and matured in seasoned French oak, the wine is light and supple, with fine tannins and a surprisingly savoury finish.

Just 880 bottles produced, this is a distinctive, limited release red, ideally suited to charcuterie, roast poultry or mushroom dishes.
