Ox Hardy Blewitt Springs Shiraz 2023

A fresh, finely structured Shiraz from the elevated Blewitt Springs subregion of McLaren Vale.

Plum, red cherry and blueberry lead the nose, with subtle spice and a distinctive ironstone note adding savoury detail. The palate is medium to full bodied, with bright dark fruit, a fleshy mid palate and firm, finely shaped tannins.

Sourced from three blocks on the Upper Tintara Vineyard, the wine was fermented in open top vessels with a small amount of whole bunch, then matured for 15 months in French oak. The cool 2023 vintage gives this Shiraz excellent freshness, balance and definition. A strong match for lamb or grilled beef.
