The 2024 Penfolds Yattarna Bin 144 Chardonnay represents the pinnacle of Australian Chardonnay, bringing together exceptional cool climate fruit from Tumbarumba, the Adelaide Hills and Tasmania. Remarkably precise and restrained, it reveals layers of struck flint, oyster shell and citrus, complemented by roasted almond, pistachio and subtle brioche. The palate is tightly structured, with vibrant acidity, saline minerality and a delicate lemon curd richness. Eight months in French oak, including 56% new barrels, lends depth without compromising the wine’s purity or finesse.
