Philippe Chavy Meursault 2021

A finely tuned Meursault from Philippe Chavy, the 2021 vintage leans into precision and tension rather than weight, shaped by a cooler growing season and low yields across the Côte de Beaune.

Sourced from four key vineyard sites including Gruyaches, Pellans, Moulin Landin and Pelles, this Chardonnay shows layered citrus, white peach and subtle stone fruit over a distinct limestone driven mineral line. The palate is structured and linear, with whole bunch pressing and careful barrel ageing bringing just a faint creaminess without softening its edge. Oak is restrained, adding quiet spice rather than overt richness.

The finish is long, saline and lightly electric, with that classic Meursault balance of energy and fine detail. A serious white Burgundy that still feels beautifully drinkable. Excellent with shellfish, crab, or simply roast chicken with tarragon.
