Pietradolce Etna Rosso 2024

A high altitude Etna Rosso made from Nerello Mascalese grown on the northern slopes of Mount Etna.

Red cherry and wild strawberry sit alongside dried herbs, spice and a distinctive volcanic earthiness. The palate is medium bodied and energetic, with bright acidity, fine tannins and a savoury mineral edge that gives the wine plenty of length.

The vines are grown at around 800 metres on sandy volcanic soils and trained in the traditional alberello system. After 14 days on skins, the wine spends three months in lightly toasted fine grain oak. A great match for lamb, mushrooms or grilled vegetables.
