Pio Cesare L'altro Chardonnay 2021

L’Altro is Pio Cesare’s more approachable expression of Langhe white wine, combining Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc from high elevation, cool climate vineyards. The nose brings together ripe fruit, savoury spice and a subtle touch of vanilla, while the palate is fresh and mineral with enough texture to give the wine real presence. Fermentation begins in stainless steel, with part of the wine resting in French barriques and the remainder in tank, adding gentle oak complexity without overwhelming the fruit. A versatile Italian white with both freshness and depth, well suited to seafood, roast chicken or creamy pasta.
