Podere Il Palazzino Chianti Classico Argenina 2020

Argenina is a pure Sangiovese from Monti in Chianti, grown at 310 to 375 metres on medium textured, tuffaceous sandstone soils of volcanic origin. The warmer south eastern to south western exposures help produce a wine with generous fruit while retaining the freshness typical of the site. Aromas of black cherry and violets are layered with vanilla and cocoa, leading to a supple, medium bodied palate with sweet, well integrated tannins and a subtle mineral character. Fermented in stainless steel to preserve primary fruit, then matured in used barriques and large oak casks, it is polished, fragrant and immediately approachable.
