Produttori del Barbaresco’s 2021 Montefico Riserva is a structured, savoury expression of Nebbiolo with the site’s characteristic spice and mineral drive. Grown on south and south east facing clay and limestone soils, Montefico typically gives wines with elegance, firmness and impressive length.

Ripe red cherry and plum are layered with dried flowers, spice and earthy detail. The palate is finely structured, with balanced tannins, fresh acidity and a persistent mineral finish. Thirty months in large oak casks followed by bottle ageing builds complexity without obscuring the fruit.

A cellar worthy Barbaresco with the depth to suit risotto, roast meats or game.
