Produttori del Barbaresco’s 2021 Asili Riserva is a refined and powerful expression of Nebbiolo from one of Barbaresco’s most respected vineyards. The south and south west facing site, set on clay and limestone soils with sandy veins, gives a wine of both intensity and elegance.

Ripe red cherry, rose, dried herbs and spice lead into a structured palate with balanced tannins, fresh acidity and a long savoury finish. Thirty months in large oak casks and further bottle ageing allow the wine to settle without losing its sense of place.

Austere in youth but built for long ageing, it is ideal with risotto, roast meats or game.
