Rudderless Grenache 2021

Rudderless Vineyard Grenache offers a richer, more savoury expression of McLaren Vale, sourced from a small coastal vineyard surrounding the historic Victory Hotel. Founded by Doug Govan and made in collaboration with Pete Fraser of Yangarra Estate, the wine reflects the depth and character of this maritime influenced site. Aromas of dark cherry, kirsch and orange peel are complemented by clove, dried herbs and subtle oak spice. The palate is generous and concentrated, with ripe fruit, firm yet finely textured tannins and a long, savoury finish. A Grenache with genuine structure and ageing potential, particularly well suited to roast lamb, duck or slow cooked meats.
