Saltfleet Sangiovese 2025

Saltfleet's 2022 Sangiovese is a beautifully savoury expression of this classic Italian variety, sourced from the delicate soils of Sellicks Hill in McLaren Vale.

Wild strawberry, red cherry and plum sit alongside violet, blood orange and fresh herbs, with subtle notes of clove and earthy spice. The palate is medium bodied and juicy, with bright acidity, fine chalky tannins and a lingering savoury finish.

Extended skin contact and nine months in seasoned French oak bring texture and complexity without overwhelming the fruit. A wonderfully versatile food wine, particularly alongside mushroom risotto, charcuterie or a rich tomato pasta.
