SC Pannell Basso Garnacha 2023 is a McLaren Vale Grenache from the coast, made in a low sulphur, minimal intervention style that highlights both generosity and detail.

The nose is lifted and exotic, with pomegranate, boysenberry, raspberry and cherry, layered with liquorice, musk lollies and a subtle fenugreek spice.

On the palate, it is medium bodied with real volume and plush fruit richness, showing a supple, flowing texture rather than weight or extraction. Rose petal and pistachio notes add an intriguing savoury perfume through the tannins, while bright acidity keeps everything fresh.

The finish is long and distinctive, carrying raspberry jelly and pomegranate Turkish delight flavours with a gentle spice fade. A modern, expressive Grenache that works well with grilled lamb, spiced dishes or wood fired Mediterranean food.
