S.C. Pannell’s Grenache Shiraz Touriga 2023 is one of McLaren Vale’s most versatile red blends, combining perfume, generosity and savoury structure.

Grenache leads with raspberry, pomegranate and red plum, while Touriga Nacional adds violet, lavender, dark plum and dried spice. Shiraz sits underneath, bringing depth and weight without dominating. The palate is plush and flowing, with fine sandy tannins shaping the fruit and a savoury edge keeping everything balanced.

This is an expressive, medium bodied McLaren Vale red that works just as well slightly chilled as it does at the dinner table. Try it with meatballs in tomato sauce, grilled lamb or charred vegetables.
