Sinapius Close Planted Chardonnay 2024

A beautifully detailed Chardonnay from dry grown, high density vineyards, where nine different clones contribute to a wine of remarkable precision, texture and depth.

Grapefruit, white peach and citrus blossom lead the way, with notes of custard apple, marzipan, fresh brioche and subtle bush honey. The palate is finely layered, balancing ripe stone fruit and creamy richness with vibrant acidity, gentle phenolic grip and a lingering saline finish.

Wild fermented in French oak and matured on lees, with full malolactic fermentation adding depth and texture. Despite its complexity, this remains a wonderfully focused Chardonnay with a distinctly savoury edge. Excellent alongside roast chicken, grilled lobster or scallops.
