Southern Light Vineyards Ghost Gum Chardonnay 2024

Main Ridge Chardonnay 2023 is a finely balanced Mornington Peninsula Chardonnay, combining bright natural acidity with measured barrel richness and texture.

The nose opens with honeysuckle, lemon tart and a subtle marzipan note, while the palate is tighter and more citrus driven, with freshness, tension and a gently creamy edge. Whole bunch pressing, indigenous fermentation and ageing in French oak, including 30% new barrels, build depth without overwhelming the fruit.

Partial malolactic fermentation softens a portion of the wine while preserving the sharper acid line in the remainder. A polished, age worthy style that works beautifully with roast chicken, grilled fish or richer seafood.
