Spinifex Bete Noir 2023

A deeply savoury red with plenty of dark fruit and a firm, polished structure. Blackberry, blackcurrant and ripe cherry lead the nose, layered with white pepper, rosemary, baking spice, walnut and a subtle gamey note.

The palate is medium to full bodied, moving through dark plum, red cherry and dried herbs. There is good flesh through the middle, balanced by fresh acidity and fine, gently grippy tannins that carry the wine to a long finish.

Complex without feeling heavy, this is a structured, food friendly style that would sit comfortably alongside slow cooked lamb or roast beef.
