Stefano Lubiana’s 2022 Collina Chardonnay is a beautifully composed Southern Tasmanian Chardonnay, combining ripe fruit with fine acidity and subtle savoury complexity. The nose opens with lemon, lime and honey blossom, followed by white peach, nectarine and nashi pear, with a gentle flinty mineral note adding depth. On the palate, citrus and orchard fruit give way to lemon curd, mandarin peel and a touch of crème brûlée. Fine acidity keeps the rich, rounded texture focused through a long finish. Awarded 96 points and three trophies at the 2024 International Wine Challenge, this is a Chardonnay with both immediate appeal and serious cellaring potential.
