The Standish Lamella Shiraz 2024

The 2024 Standish Lamella Shiraz is a remarkable expression of Eden Valley Shiraz, sourced from the ancient vines of the Stonegarden Vineyard. Crafted by Dan Standish, it combines the depth of old vine Barossa fruit with the perfume and precision of Eden Valley's cooler, elevated vineyards.

Dark plum, mulberry and blackberry meet fragrant rose petals, graphite, black pepper and exotic spice. The palate is deeply concentrated yet remarkably composed, with layers of dark fruit, savoury herbs and fine, mineral tannins that carry through to an exceptionally long finish. Fermented entirely with whole bunches, it has impressive structure and complexity.

A serious, ageworthy Australian Shiraz, best enjoyed with roast lamb or slow cooked beef, with decades of cellaring potential.
