The Standish Shiraz 2024

Dan Standish's 2024 The Standish Shiraz is a powerful expression of Greenock in the Barossa Valley, sourced from the Laycock family vineyard. Concentrated fruit and a generous proportion of whole bunch fermentation give this wine remarkable depth and structure.

Black cherry, dark plum and liquorice lead the way, with layers of sweet paprika, rose petal, earthy spice and dark chocolate. The palate is dense and richly textured, with firm savoury tannins and impressive freshness balancing the concentrated fruit.

A serious, structured Barossa Shiraz built for extended cellaring, though equally compelling alongside slow roasted lamb or richly flavoured beef dishes.
