Tolpuddle Chardonnay 2024

Tolpuddle Vineyard Chardonnay is a precise, restrained expression of Tasmania, with a cool season helping build flavour without sacrificing freshness. The palate shows sugar snap pea, fennel and white nectarine, with a subtle struck match note adding complexity. Bright Tolpuddle acidity gives the wine plenty of drive, while fine chalky texture adds weight and length. Whole bunch pressed and fermented in French oak, it spent ten months in barrel before a further four months on lees in tank. Elegant rather than overtly rich, this is a Chardonnay built around balance and detail, with the structure to develop beautifully over the next decade.
