Vintage Longbottom H Syrah 2021 is a modern McLaren Vale Shiraz Syrah from Vintage Longbottom, shaped to highlight purity of fruit and regional spice rather than heavy oak influence.

Tasting notes open with blueberry, red cherry and a touch of amaro like herb lift, followed by peppery spice and subtle cedar. The palate moves between blue and red fruit with an earthy savoury edge, fine grained tannins and crunchy acidity giving it drive and energy through the finish.

Style wise this is a fresh, medium bodied Syrah using old oak for texture rather than flavour.

Best with grilled lamb, charred eggplant or spiced sausages.
