Warre’s Otima 20 Year Old Tawny shows the depth and refinement that come with two decades of maturation in seasoned oak. Its translucent copper colour leads into aromas of toasted walnut, dried fruit, caramel and gentle spice, with the long ageing bringing impressive aromatic complexity. On the palate, it is rich and supple but finely balanced by fresh acidity and mature tannins, keeping the wine lifted rather than sweet or heavy. The finish is long, precise and quietly persistent. A beautifully composed Tawny Port for slow sipping, particularly alongside aged cheese, nuts or a classic creme brulee.
