Wittmann’s 2023 Kirchspiel Riesling GG is a precise, mineral driven Riesling from one of Westhofen’s great limestone sites in Rheinhessen. The south and southeastern facing vineyard benefits from a sheltered microclimate, with clay marl and limestone soils giving the wine its distinctive structure. Aromas of flint, lime, spicy citrus and floral notes lead into a concentrated yet finely textured palate, balancing creamy weight with vibrant acidity. Saline mineral character and a long, Amalfi lemon finish keeps the wine focused and energetic. Biodynamically farmed and Respekt certified, this is a serious dry Riesling with excellent ageing potential.
