From the elevated Hillenvale Vineyard above Kangarilla, this Syrah is a compelling expression of cool climate winemaking at the meeting point of the Adelaide Hills and McLaren Vale. Rooted in ancient quartzite soils at 390 metres, the wine is distinguished by its aromatic finesse and restrained power. Fragrant morello cherry, wild raspberry and delicate florals are underpinned by subtle spice and savoury complexity. The palate is finely drawn, with beautifully integrated tannins, vibrant acidity and a mineral tension that carries through to a persistent, dry finish.
