Yangarra Ovitelli Grenache 2023

Yangarra’s 2023 Ovitelli Grenache is a distinctive single vineyard expression from 1946 planted, dry grown bush vines in the sandy soils of Blewitt Springs, McLaren Vale. Fermented and matured entirely in ceramic eggs, rather than oak, it puts the vineyard and fruit firmly in focus. Raspberry, wild strawberry and red cherry lead into dried herbs, spice and subtle earthy detail, while extended skin contact brings fine grained tannins and a gently savoury texture. Bright acidity keeps the medium bodied palate fresh and precise, with a long mineral finish. A refined McLaren Vale Grenache with excellent cellaring potential.
