Yarra Yering Dry Red No.3 2022

Yarra Yering’s Portuguese blend brings a distinctly Australian take on classic Portuguese varieties, sourced from the estate’s rocky New Territories vineyard in the Yarra Valley. Touriga Naçional leads the blend, supported by Tinta Cão, Tinta Roriz, Tinta Amarela, Alvarelhão and Sousão. The wine is fragrant and layered, with lavender, satsuma plum, balsamic, summer berries and cherry, alongside liquorice spice and savoury herbal notes. Traditional foot treading and gentle extraction build fine tannins, while ten months in old oak keeps the fruit in focus. Bright acidity drives the long finish, making this a distinctive, cellar worthy red with plenty of character.
