Forlak Touriga 2023

Intense + Moreish

This Touriga was sourced from the Oliver’s Taranga Vineyard in Seaview, McLaren Vale. The wine was hand-picked early in vintage by Forlak friends and family, to help preserve the vibrant and lush fruits at a 12.5% alcohol. The Juice spent 10 days on skins with 30% whole bunch inclusion to help build tannin and structure before eventually being gently pressed by a small, hand-operated basket press. The Touriga spent the next 6 months maturing in old french oak barrels. 

This wine is medium-bodied and fruit-forward, presenting a deep purple allure in the glass. Vibrant acidity accompanied by subtle herbaceous notes, creating a balanced profile. Lush fruitiness takes centre stage, dominated by dark berries and a hint of liquorice.
