Tucked into its own valley at Norton Summit, Little Creek is a vineyard with real presence. Planted between 1987 and 1990 at double the vine density of its neighbours, and set on rocky quartz and siltstone soils, it consistently produces Pinot noir with darker fruit, earthy undertones and a richness of texture. The 2024 growing season was near perfect but low yielding, and the resulting wine has all the power and depth you expect from Little Creek, alongside the purity and balance that define this vintage.
Fully de-stemmed fruit was fermented in open-top vats with twice daily pump overs before spending 10 months in French oak (10% new). Bottled unfined and unfiltered in its second winter, this wine shows black cherry, plum and forest floor notes with a savoury edge, fine tannins and excellent length. Just 1,619 bottles were made, a pure expression of one of the Adelaide Hills’ most distinctive Pinot noir sites.
