Hill of Grace is one of Australia's most revered single-vineyard wines, produced from dry-grown, ungrafted Shiraz vines planted around 1860 in Eden Valley. Set in rich alluvial soils opposite a historic Lutheran church, this site has been tended by the Henschke family for generations and is home to some of the oldest vines in the country now over 160 years old.
First made as a single-vineyard wine in 1958 by Cyril Henschke, Hill of Grace continues to express the depth and character of this remarkable site. The 2021 vintage followed a cool growing season and warm autumn, allowing for slow ripening and excellent fruit development. The wine was matured for 18 months in a mix of new and seasoned oak before bottling.
The 2021 release is considered a highlight of the decade, with exceptional balance, varietal clarity, and longevity an age-worthy Shiraz with origins deeply rooted in Australian winemaking history.
