Three Elms Timbertops Cabernet Franc 2022

With its origins in Bordeaux where it is typically blended with Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, Cabernet Franc is lighter than its more robust Cabernet cousin. This wine taken from two 30+ year blocks is handled lightly in small batches with a portion of whole bunch fermentation and shows pretty aromas of mulberries, yellow plums and speculaas spice. The flavour is gentle in its approach, a milky chocolate mouthfeel coats your tongue as the intensity builds to a powerful splash of ripe raspberries. Serve it at 15 °C with some hearty roast!
