Inspired by the unique flora and fauna that thrive in each vineyard, the Botanic range celebrates terroir, showcasing the delicate balance between nature, the ecosystem, and the vigneron's craft. Every detail of the Botanic range reflects a commitment to sustainability, from the use of only natural and recycled materials in the packaging to the hand-painted labels, created by a local Barossa artist. These labels beautifully depict the native flora and fauna found in the vineyards where the grapes are grown.
Crafted from a blend of Grenache and Syrah sourced from the Rende vineyard in Blewitt Springs, McLaren Vale, the Botanic wines undergo a meticulous winemaking process. Aged for six months on lees in a 600L concrete egg, the wine captures a vibrant expression of the land. The result is a refined, complex profile with notes of blood orange, fennel, pink grapefruit, and redcurrant, harmoniously balanced by mineral acidity and a touch of fine tannin. The purity and prettiness of the fruit are preserved through stainless steel fermentation, while the concrete egg imparts roundness and mouthfeel, complemented by lees contact and 100% malo-lactic fermentation.
Botanic wines reflect the essence of the vineyard, revealing a true sense of place, and showcasing the finesse of the fruit with elegance and character. The wines are capped with an AMORIM XPUR cork (44x24mm), ensuring freshness and longevity. With a pH of 3.38, total acidity of 4.8g/L, and an alcohol content of 12.4%, the wine is a perfect expression of terroir.
